I finally have my wedding photos and I am so excited to show you guys some of them! From the get go Ryan & I knew we wanted a rustic winter wedding. I always wanted to get married in a small white church and Ryan loves tradition so picking Edgewood Heritage park only made since. And It is about 30 minutes from the town we grew up in. When trying to figure out the “attire” my wedding planner came up with “western formal”. Ryan is all about western and I am all about class so it was the perfect fit. So below is our take on rustic winter wedding! Enjoy!

My rings Ryan purchased from Bachendorf’s in Dallas, TX. We picked the marquise because his mom has a marquise and as I said before he loves traditions! I really wanted a velvet ring box I had been seeing on pj retest so I found one on Amazon that matched our wedding colors. I got my Badgley Mischka Heels at Nordstrom, these were my something new. My something borrowed was the 6ct marquise cluster earrings I borrowed from my work. Something blue was my navy garters. Something old was the same thing my older sister used as her something old when she got married – our great grandmothers broach – that is a watch. The perfume I wore is Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet – it is a very fresh and light scent and came highly recommended to me for our wedding day.
Flower Girl Dress
Ellie’s dress was something that I knew I wanted to be more than just your typical flower girl dress. Since she is my daughter I wanted her to feel like a princess and I wanted it to have a train. I searched high and low for a flower girl dress for her. To my surprise and everyone else’s I actually found it on Amazon! She got lots of compliments on it. You can find it here. The gift I gave her was a pearl necklace and pearl bracelet I had strung at my work just a few days prior. I knew I always wanted her to have a set of pearls and this was the perfect occasion to give her some.
Groom & Groomsmen Attire for a Rustic winter wedding
I trusted my groom to pick out his and his groomsmen’s rustic wedding wear – thankfully he has such good style! The one thing he for sure wanted was every groomsmen to wear the same hat. So we went on a search for a felt that was not too crazy expensive but still looked nice. We ended up going with a Justin 2x hat. The white button downs they wore is a Ariat twill button down. For their corduroy sport coats we found the ones they wore at Macy’s. Jeans are Ryan’s favorite jeans – Cinch jeans white label in dark stonewash. Then we added a red tie, brown belt and brown boots.
All about the cake…or pie?
We wanted to switch it up than your traditional his and her wedding cakes but we still wanted to “cut the cake” though so we opted for a pie bar and a small cake! I got my cake at Dallas Affairs. Our caterer provided the pies! I found most of my pie stands and cake stands in my mothers kitchen & at a flea market! We did however grab our cake cutter and server off of Amazon. I found my cake topper on Etsy!
